The "wireless broadband eligible facility permitting act" provides for uniform municipal regulation of certain wireless facilities. It defines "eligible facilities request" as any request for modification of an existing tower or base station that does not substantially change the physical dimensions of such tower or base station. The act exempts eligible facilities requests from municipal zoning laws and requires municipalities to approve such requests within 60 days. It also limits fees to $500 per application and allows for tolling of the review period.
