Increases reimbursement rates paid by the state to cities for repair and maintenance of state arterials.
This bill amends the highway law to increase reimbursement rates paid by the state to cities for the repair and maintenance of state arterials. The rate for pavement area included in the state highway system would increase from eighty-five cents to one dollar and eighty cents per square yard. Additionally, the rate for pavement area on elevated bridges would increase from ten cents to twenty cents per square yard. The rate would be adjusted annually based on the percentage change in the consumer price index for all urban consumers in the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island area.
