New York A06316 amends the civil practice law and rules by adding a new section 4513-a. This new section allows statements made by a deceased person under the belief of impending death to be admissible in evidence in all civil and criminal trials and other proceedings before courts, commissions, and other tribunals. These statements can be used to the same extent and for the same purposes as if the deceased had survived and testified.
