This bill modifies the definition of disorderly conduct for family offense proceedings in New York. It changes the definition to not require an intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, but merely an intent to cause annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof. The family court and criminal courts will have concurrent jurisdiction over any proceeding concerning acts which would constitute disorderly conduct. The bill takes effect immediately.
