Extends wage parity for home care workers in upstate New York.
New York Assembly Bill A06123 amends the public health law to extend wage parity for home care workers in upstate New York. Specifically, it adjusts the minimum rate of home care aide compensation in all counties outside of Bronx, Queens, Kings, New York, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester. Effective from October 1, 2025, the cash portion of the minimum rate will increase by $3.22 per hour. This act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
