New York A06014 requires school districts, public libraries, boards of cooperative educational services, county vocational education and extension boards, charter schools, and non-public elementary and secondary schools to stock opioid antagonists and store naloxone nasal sprays with or adjacent to automated external defibrillator cabinets. This bill also mandates that any person employed by these entities who has been trained by an approved program may administer an opioid antagonist in an emergency. The opioid antagonists must be maintained by the school or institution.
