This bill amends the retirement and social security law to modify pension benefits for Nassau County fire marshals, supervising fire marshals, fire marshals, assistant fire marshals, assistant chief fire marshals, and chief fire marshals. It grants pension benefits for service rendered beyond 25 years, with the benefit being one-half of the final average salary upon completion of 25 years of creditable service. For each year of creditable service beyond 25 years, an additional sixtieth of the final average salary is granted.
