Establishes a statewide program to provide free SUNY, CUNY, and community college tuition to active volunteer firefighters, volunteer emergency.

The bill establishes a program to provide free tuition for active volunteer firefighters, volunteer emergency medical services providers, and volunteer auxiliary police officers at SUNY, CUNY, and community colleges. Eligible students must submit proof of membership in good standing of a volunteer organization and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5. Students are responsible for all other costs, including housing and fees. If a student fails to meet the requirements, they must repay tuition plus interest. The program takes effect 90 days after becoming law.
