The bill amends the Public Authorities Law to require the New York City Transit Authority to include in its annual reports details on the procedures and methodologies used for reducing and abating noise. These reports must include measurements assessing the effectiveness of noise abatement techniques, existing procedures and technologies relevant to noise production, and noise evaluations for new equipment. The authority must also assess the effectiveness of these procedures in each annual report.
