This bill amends the public health law by adding a new article establishing training and registration requirements for kidney dialysis patient care technicians. The training must include an overview of roles and responsibilities, as well as kidney dialysis therapy. The commissioner, in consultation with the education commissioner, will establish standardized training requirements with clearly defined criteria for annual evaluations.
