Amends allowable levy growth factor and percentage of votes needed to override tax levy limit.
This bill amends the allowable levy growth factor to be the greater of one and two one-hundredths or the sum of one plus the inflation factor. It also changes the percentage of votes needed to override the tax levy limit to more than fifty percent. This applies to budgets proposed by local governments and school districts. The changes take effect immediately.
