The bill requires the New York state department of transportation to study and determine which parkway entrances are most frequently accessed by oversized commercial vehicles. Within one year of making this determination, the department must install physical barriers to prevent or hinder such vehicles from accessing these parkway entrances. The commissioner of transportation can request and receive information from any state agency to conduct this study. The act takes effect immediately.
