New York A05120 requires the commissioner of education to establish a uniform dress code for all public high schools. This dress code will specify the length, color, cut, style, and condition of clothing, required logos and designs, permitted additional logos and designs, times and places of enforcement, and disciplinary actions for non-compliance. Additionally, public high schools will not receive state funding unless they report compliance with the dress code. The act takes effect on July 1 following its enactment.
