New York A05053 increases the minimum insurance coverage required for motor vehicles registered and/or operated within the state. It raises the limits for bodily injury and death in accidents. For one person injured or killed, the limits increase from $25,000 to $50,000 for bodily injury and from $50,000 to $100,000 for death. For more than one person injured or killed, the limits increase from $50,000 to $100,000 for bodily injury and from $100,000 to $200,000 for death. It also raises the limit for third-party property damage from $10,000 to $25,000.
