Requires certain public ferry system employees to be included under "laborers, workers or mechanics" in labor law.

This bill amends the labor law to include employees of a public passenger ferry system employed as United States coast guard-licensed officers or in any position requiring a United States coast guard officer license, endorsement, or credential under the phrase "laborers, workers or mechanics." These employees will have the right to invoke and pursue collective bargaining impasse procedures and other proceedings available to other employees. The bill takes effect immediately.
