Directs the office of information technology services to contract with a private entity to evaluate New York's IT infrastructure.

The bill amends the state technology law to require the office of information technology services to contract with a private firm specializing in IT audits. The firm will conduct an examination and evaluation of New York's information technology infrastructure, data use, management, policies, procedures, and operational processes. The evaluation will include the IT systems of the departments of labor and health, public and private IT services, and best practices. The office must report findings and recommendations to state officials by December 31, 2027. The act will expire on January 3, 2028.
