The bill amends the education law to continue the New York State Pathways in Technology Early College High School Program, commonly known as P-TECH. It requires the commissioner to allocate funds for new P-TECH programs aimed at preparing eligible academically at-risk and/or economically disadvantaged students for high-skill jobs. Funding is available for both previously funded programs and new applicants demonstrating the capacity to serve at-risk students.
