Establishes a county representation system for electing the governor and lieutenant-governor in New York.
This bill proposes an amendment to the New York State Constitution to establish a county representation system for electing the governor and lieutenant-governor. Each county will be assigned two representation votes, with additional votes based on population, totaling 414. If no single person receives a majority of county representation votes, the person with the highest number of votes will be elected. The amendment will be effective after the 9 next succeeding general elections of assembly members.
