The Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act mandates that certain business entities within New York annually disclose their scope 1, scope 2, and scope 3 emissions. Scope 1 emissions include direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources owned or controlled by the reporting entity. Scope 2 emissions include indirect emissions from the consumption of purchased electricity, steam, heating, or cooling. Scope 3 emissions include all other indirect emissions from the entity's value chain.
