The bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to allow for distinctive plates to be issued for members of the New York city fire riders motorcycle club. Members of the club, who must be residents of New York and active or retired uniformed members of the New York city fire department, can request these plates upon proof of membership. The plates will bear the words "NYC Fire Riders." An additional annual service charge of twenty-five dollars will be applied.
