New York A04113 allows funeral service vehicles and other vehicles to use high occupancy vehicle lanes.
New York A04113, also known as "Nina's Law," amends the vehicle and traffic law to allow certain funeral service vehicles and other vehicles to use high occupancy vehicle lanes. Specifically, it permits a person to disregard an official traffic-control device governing the number of occupants required to be in a vehicle for it to be in the designated lane when operating a vehicle as part of a funeral motorcade going to or returning from a house of worship, funeral home, crematorium, or cemetery. This act takes effect immediately.
