New York A04019 amends the workers' compensation law to include attendance at individualized education program (IEP) meetings under paid family leave. This leave can be taken to provide care for a family member with a serious health condition, to bond with a child during the first year after birth or placement for adoption or foster care, or due to a qualifying exigency under the Family and Medical Leave Act. The bill takes effect immediately.
