New York State awards for liquor, beer, cider, and mead retailers.
The bill amends the economic development law to require the commissioner of economic development, in cooperation with the commissioner of agriculture and markets and the state liquor authority, to establish procedures for nominating annual awards for New York state liquor retailers, beer retailers, cider retailers, and mead retailers. These non-monetary awards recognize efforts to inform consumers about the availability and excellence of New York-made beverages. The governor issues up to three awards annually in each category.
