Establishes the construction insurance notification act (CINA) requiring notification of governmental agencies and departments when certain.
The bill establishes the construction insurance notification act (CINA). It requires insurers to ask applicants if their insurance is intended for a governmental permit for construction activities. If so, applicants must provide agency details. Insurers must notify relevant agencies if a policy lapses or is canceled within the policy period, within ten days. Failure to notify results in the policy remaining in effect for its term. The act takes effect 90 days after becoming law.
