This bill amends the public health law and the education law to allow schools and camps to implement a policy to administer over-the-counter medication to students and children attending such schools or camps. This administration can occur upon a written request by the students' and children's parents or guardians. The administration does not require input from a health professional. A record of the permission, request, or determination must be maintained by the school or camp. The medication must comply with dosing instructions listed on the packaging.
