Prohibits foreign adversaries from acquiring or transferring agricultural land in New York after January 1, 2026.

This bill amends the real property law to prohibit any foreign adversary from acquiring or transferring any interest in agricultural land in New York after January 1, 2026. The prohibition does not apply to interests held by a foreign adversary before January 1, 2026, or to any federally recognized Indian tribe or its government units and enterprises. The bill defines "agricultural land" as real estate used for an agricultural operation in the state and "foreign adversary" as any foreign government or nongovernment person determined by the United States secretary of commerce to have engaged.
