The New York Autism Spectrum Disorders Treatment, Training and Research Council is created to develop a coordinated state policy and plan for autism spectrum disorders (ASD) services. The council will coordinate state services, promote early identification and intervention, provide lifelong service delivery, increase information dissemination, and coordinate research efforts. The council will designate regional Centers on Autism and Related Disabilities to provide training, referral, and information services.
