This bill expands the veterans tuition awards program to allow the transfer of unused benefits to a spouse, survivor, or child. A qualified veteran can transfer all or a portion of their tuition award to an eligible immediate family member. The definition of "eligible immediate family" includes a spouse, child, or survivor of a qualified veteran who resides in the state. The bill also defines "qualified veteran" and "survivor." The number of tuition award transfers is limited to one hundred per year. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
