For telephone services, refunds are triggered by outages lasting thirty minutes or more. Cable television companies must refund customers for outages lasting four hours or more, or if the cable box is not operating correctly. Internet service providers must issue refunds for outages lasting four hours or more. Credits are calculated as one thirtieth of the monthly rates for each day the service is unavailable.
