The NYS entrepreneurial training act establishes a grant program to support and train entrepreneurial candidates. The program is formulated by the Empire State Development Corporation and administered by participating cities and towns. Grants are awarded competitively based on criteria set by the corporation. A minimum of 20% of participants must be New York State certified minority and women's business enterprises, and at least 10% must be veterans of the United States military.
