Provides salary schedule parity for managerial or confidential positions with comparable union-represented positions.
This bill amends the civil service law to ensure that employees in managerial or confidential positions receive salary grade ranges no less than those of comparable union-represented positions. It applies to positions in the competitive, non-competitive, and labor classes of the classified service of the state of New York. No current state employee designated managerial or confidential shall be reduced in current or prospective salary as a result of this act. The act will take effect on the first of April next succeeding the date on which it shall have become a law.
