Provides public access to epinephrine auto-injector devices at schools; establishes public access epinephrine auto-injector device providers.
This bill amends the education law to require school districts, boards of cooperative educational services, county vocational education and extension boards, charter schools, and non-public elementary and secondary schools to provide public access to epinephrine auto-injector devices. It also amends the public health law to establish public access epinephrine auto-injector device providers, who must maintain and test the devices according to manufacturer and government standards, and notify regional councils of device locations. The act takes effect 90 days after becoming law.
