Establishes the Long Island transportation account within the New York city transportation assistance fund.

New York A02638 amends the public authorities law and the tax law to establish the Long Island transportation account within the New York city transportation assistance fund. This account will receive half of the revenues from the tax law. Funds in the Long Island transportation account will be used exclusively for the operating and capital costs of metropolitan transportation authority facilities in Nassau and Suffolk counties, and for projects improving transportation connections to New York County.
