New York A02572 amends the social services law to exempt income earned by a head of household or any person in the household from certain job training or adult education programs from the determination of need for public assistance programs. This exemption applies for at least, but no longer than, six consecutive months following the last day of the month in which such person commences employment after completing a qualifying job training or adult education program. This act shall take effect immediately.
