Establishes the New York state auxiliary officer death benefit fund to provide a death benefit to families of auxiliary officers who died in the line.

The bill establishes the New York state auxiliary officer death benefit fund to provide a death benefit of up to $10,000 to the families of auxiliary officers who died in the line of duty during the state of emergency declared by the governor beginning March 7, 2020. The fund is under the joint custody of the state comptroller and the commissioner of the department of taxation and finance. The benefit is to be paid to the surviving spouse and children of the auxiliary officer, divided equally among them. If there is no surviving spouse, the benefit is paid to the children only.
