This bill establishes eligibility for a tax exemption on real property for enrolled members of ocean rescue squads in certain municipalities. It also repeals a section of law relating to the eligibility of enrolled members of Southampton Village Ocean Rescue for a tax exemption on real property. The exemption applies to members who reside in the city, town, or village served by the ocean rescue squad, use the property as their primary residence, and use it exclusively for residential purposes.
