Allows reusable beverage containers in sports venues with certain restrictions.
This bill amends the general business law to allow individuals to bring reusable beverage containers into sports venues. These containers must be primarily made of aluminum or stainless steel and designed for multiple reuses. The bill defines a sports venue as a place where professional or collegiate sporting competitions are held. While allowing these containers, the bill permits sports venues to require that they be empty, without caps, and limited to 24 fluid ounces. Violators face civil penalties.
