This crime occurs when someone causes physical injury to a food delivery person with the intent to prevent them from performing their job, or when someone strikes, shoves, kicks, or otherwise subjects a food delivery person to physical contact, including spitting on them, knowing or reasonably should have known that the person was a food delivery person.
