New York A02129 amends the insurance law to mandate that group health insurance policies offered in the large group market, when issued, amended, or renewed in the state, must provide coverage for corrective lenses used to correct the sight of individuals medically diagnosed with color vision deficiency. The insured person is entitled to reimbursement of up to four hundred dollars every thirty-six months for the purchase of one pair of corrective lenses. The insured person may opt for lenses exceeding the coverage amount and will be responsible for the additional cost.
