New York A01919 amends the penal law to establish the crimes of sex trafficking of a vulnerable person and predatory sex trafficking. Sex trafficking of a vulnerable person occurs when a person intentionally advances or profits from the prostitution of another person who is mentally disabled, mentally incapacitated, or physically helpless. Predatory sex trafficking occurs when a person, being eighteen years old or more, commits the crime of sex trafficking of a child or vulnerable person. The bill defines "vulnerable person" and sets penalties for these offenses.
