Extends provisions of law relating to expanding the food donation and food scraps recycling program; amends the effectiveness relating thereto.

This bill amends the environmental conservation law to expand the food donation and food scraps recycling program. It modifies the definition of "designated food scraps generator" to include entities generating specific amounts of food scraps. The bill also adjusts the effective date of the program. The entity responsible for solid waste hauling services at locations with multiple independent food service businesses must manage food scraps from these businesses.
