Ensures zoning lot mergers do not create non-compliance with zoning regulations for multiple dwellings in large cities.
New York Assembly Bill A01627 amends the multiple dwelling law to ensure that zoning lot mergers do not result in non-compliance with existing zoning regulations for multiple dwellings in cities with populations of five million or more. The bill sets conditions for transferring floor area between lots, including limiting the increase in floor area for the receiving lot to no more than twenty percent and prohibiting the receiving lot from also receiving a floor area bonus for affordable or mandatory inclusionary housing.
