This bill directs the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets to create a grading system for retail food stores, food service establishments, and food warehouses. The grading system will use letters A, B, or C, with lower grades considered failing. Establishments must post their most recent grade near their entrance. The commissioner can set inspection intervals based on grades, with "A" establishments inspected at least once a year and "B" establishments at least once every nine months. Establishments can appeal their grade within 30 days.
