New York A01164 amends the vehicle and traffic law to require stretch limousines to be retired from use after ten years from manufacture or the accumulation of 350,000 miles, whichever comes first. A stretch limousine is defined as an altered motor vehicle with a seating capacity of nine or more passengers, including the driver, used in the business of transporting passengers for compensation. This act takes effect immediately.
