Authorizes Hamburg Central School District to use video lottery gaming payments for public school support.
The bill amends the state finance law to allow the Hamburg Central School District to use payments related to video lottery gaming facilities for increased support to public schools. Beginning April 1, 2025, the Hamburg Central School District is defined as an "eligible municipality" for these payments. Such payments can be used to defray local costs associated with a video lottery gaming facility, minimize or reduce real property taxes, or increase support for public schools in the district. The changes take effect immediately.
