Enacts the "Supervising Upcoming Professionals for Practice in Official Roles in Therapy (SUPPORT) act" to allow clinical social worker licensure.

The bill enacts the "Supervising Upcoming Professionals for Practice in Official Roles in Therapy (SUPPORT) act." It amends the education law to allow applicants for clinical social worker licensure to satisfy experience requirements under the supervision of a mental health practitioner who has been granted the privilege to diagnose and develop assessment-based treatment plans. This supervision can occur in approved settings. The bill also allows the department to accept experience obtained in settings that would have been eligible for a waiver, provided it meets all other requirements.
