Expands the list of community districts eligible for pilot programs to legalize or convert basement and cellar dwellings.

This bill amends the multiple dwelling law to expand the list of community districts eligible for pilot programs to address the legalization or conversion of certain basement and cellar dwellings. The eligible districts now include Bronx Community Districts nine, ten, eleven, and twelve; Brooklyn Community Districts four, five, ten, eleven, and seventeen; Manhattan Community Districts two, three, nine, ten, eleven, and twelve; and Queens Community Districts one, two, three, and four. The bill takes effect immediately and is deemed to have been in full force and effect since April 20, 2024.
