New York A00522 removes the 24-hour limit for making agency records available before an open meeting.
New York A00522 amends the public officers law to ensure that agency records and proposed resolutions, laws, rules, regulations, policies, or amendments are available upon request before an open meeting. The bill removes the previous requirement that these records be made available "to the extent practicable at least twenty-four hours" prior to the meeting. If an agency maintains a regularly updated website with a high-speed internet connection, it must post these records on the website before the meeting.
