The bill amends the social services law to make migrant youth under the age of 25 who are receiving runaway and homeless youth services eligible for housing vouchers under the family homelessness and eviction prevention supplement (FHEPS) program. The vouchers will pay the full rent for undocumented youth and partial rent for documented youth with stable employment. The state will reimburse local social services districts for payments made under the FHEPS program. The maximum rent for such vouchers will be set at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's fair market rent level.
