Farmers engaged in activities listed in the agriculture and markets law will receive a 50% discount on the normal toll rate. This discount does not apply to surcharges in addition to the regular crossing fare. Farmers eligible for a tax exemption under the tax law can file the exemption certificate with the thruway authority to receive an E-ZPass tag for the discounted toll rate. The act takes effect on January 1, 2027.
